Lending Services

In order to borrow library materials, you must have a valid library membership card.

Fees

• Instituto Cervantes Students: Free (for the length of the course +5 weeks)
• Concessions I: *£25 per annum (or £20 for 6 months)
• Concessions II: *£10 per annum (or £8 for 6 months)  
• General public: £35 (or £30 for 6 months)
• Family (up to 6): £60 (or £50 for 6 months)
• Institutions: £60 (or £50 for 6 months)  
• Card replacement : £2

*Students 18+, unemployed, AVE students
** Kids (over 5 yrs. old), students up to 17 years old, retired

• The card is valid for a year.
• To qualify for a concession you must present a valid student card or identification card with stating your DOB.
• Schools, Colleges, Universities, Libraries and other organizations can join as institutional members.

Borrowing items

Individual members

• 8 Books or CDs for 4 weeks (renewable)
• 6 Videos or DVDs for 2 weeks (not renewable)
• 1 E-books for 15 days (not renewable)  

Institutional members

• 16 Books or CDs for 8 weeks (renewable)
• 12 Videos or DVDs for 6 weeks (not renewable)
• 1 E-books for 15 days (not renewable) 

Renewals

You can renew items once, provided no-one else is waiting to borrow them. To avoid charges, please remember to renew before the due date.

• Personal visit.
• Telephoning our library: 0207.201.0757.

Reservations

The maximum number of items that may be reserved is three. Reservations can be made in perosn, by telephone or online via the library catalogue.

The library will contact the library member via e-mail when the item they have reserved becomes available.

Library Loan by Post

All library card holders can benefit from library loan service by post.

The conditions are the same as for items borrowed in person.

The cost of sending and receiving the items is paid for by the user and is deducted from a money provision, determined by the member according to his requeriments, paid in advance to the library by cash or credit card.

Users of this service must pay £1 per item sent and £2 per package. The amount will deducted from the user's credit.

*The final charge will never be higher than the cost of the overdue item.
