Adolescence is the most important period of our lives and this was certainly the case for 13 year-old Ramon. In addition to being a time of discovery, he was confused and apprehensive in a time when everything was in doubt- the future, school, studies, sex and particularly communication with the older generation.You`re My Hero also tells the story of Spain at the beginning of the transition- the period that started when Franco was about to die. This was a time of social upheaval and unrest, marked by change, illusion and struggle which in some way shaped the personality of those who lived their youth at this time.
