The Cinema of Spain and Portugal

The Cinema of Spain and Portugal, edited by Alberto Mira, is a new volume from Wallflower Press in the 24 Frames series. It focuses on 24 key films from Spain and Portugal, from the early era of cinema up to the present day, by directors such as Florián Rey, Juan Antonio Bardem, Luis Buñuel, Víctor Erice, Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón, Pedro Almodóvar and João Cesar Monteiro. The evening will also include a re-presentation of an earlier volume in the 24 Frames series, The Cinema of Latin America, edited by Alberto Elena y Marina Díaz.
