This international conference brings together academics from a wide range of disciplines who share an interest in contemporary developments in Spain and Portugal, and promotes the study of the social, economic and political affairs of the Iberian Peninsula together with its languages.
Plenary speakers include: Spanish writer Elvira Lindo with a lecture titled A la conquista de una voz propia. Professor Peter W. Evans (Queen Mary, University of London) with Penelope Cruz; the Construction and Meanings of a Star and Professor John Macklin (University of Glasgow) with The Origins of Hispanic Studies.
